JOB TITLE: PPM OFFICER
POSITION SUMMARY:
Location: Hai Phong
Number: 01 officer
Contract Type: Fulltime (100% FTE)
Duration: 12 months (extension to be based on performance and availability of funds)
Start Date: 01 November 2019
Travel requirements: Frequent travel to districts within Hai Phong.
BACKGROUND:
Friends for International Tuberculosis Relief (FIT) is a German non-profit organization working in the field of tuberculosis (TB) prevention and control, especially in active case finding. In Viet Nam, we have offices in Hanoi & Ho Chi Minh City. Project locations include Hanoi, Hai Phong, Hoi An and Ho Chi Minh City. The main partners of FIT are the National TB Program, National Lung Hospital & Pham Ngoc Thach Hospital.
One of FIT’s project is to cooperate with private health providers to detect TB patient early by high-tech diagnosis and applications on mobile phones/tablets. Successful applicant will work for this project.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Visit periodically private health facilities to establish relationship and persuade them to cooperate with the project.
- Record daily working information into CRM software.
- Make sure that agreements are signed and updated with private health facilities.
- Promote chest X-ray for TB screening.
- Transfer sputum smear for daily testing as needed.
- Update sputum results at lab facilities.
- Notify testing result to the patient and doctor.
- Evaluate patient eligible to receive support and provide them with support.
- Support patient’s enrolment.
- Support patient to register in the VDOT research.
- Coordinate with the research unit to introduce the survey to the private health providers as requested.
- Implement advocacy project activities for the private health facilities.
- Support all aspects of project implementation as requested and conducting some other activities as assigned by superiors.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A College or University Degree in a relevant discipline such as pharmacy, public health, social development, science or related fields. Experience in private health sector is an asset.
- Good communication skill.
- Flexibility and willingness to work over time.
- Good working attitude, dynamic and ability to work well individually as well as in teams.
- Self-motivation, willingness to learn, service-orientation and ability to work under high pressure and within a limited time frame.
- Computer skills, including familiarity and comfort with using Microsoft Word, Excel, email and others.
- Good knowledge of English would be a strong asset.
