Consultant - Care and Treatment
General description:
FHI 360 Vietnam is recruiting a full-time Vietnamese consultant to support the implementation of HIV/AIDS care and treatment activities under the USAID SHIFT project in collaboration with the Vietnam Authority for HIV/AIDS Control (VAAC). The consultant’s scope of work will align with VAAC’s objectives and demands to undertake technical assignment that will support the national HIV program in same-day ART and multi-month scripting scale-up, viral load scale-up, PrEP expansion and TLD implementation and care and treatment data management. The consultants will coordinate and follow-up with related stakeholders, specialists to complete tasks and deliver the expected results as follows:
Key tasks and deliverables:
The consultant will support to scale up same-day ART and multi-month scripting, viral load, PREP expansion and TLT implementation
- Same-day ART and multi-month scripting scale-up:
- Updated guidance and information provided
- Refresher trainings for CDC/PAC and turned-over HTF staff conducted in selected provinces
- Routine TA provided
- VL scale-up, PrEP expansion and TLD implementation
- Updated guidance and information provided
- Facilitate trainings for CDC/PAC and turned-over HTF staff conducted in selected provinces
- Routine TA provided to facilitate SHI VL reimbursement, PrEP expansion and TLD implementation
- C&T data management: The C&T data including TX_NEW and TX_CUR every 2 months to measure and monitoring the patient attrition status shared
- Liaison between VAAC Treatment department and USAID SHIFT Clinical team
- Other tasks upon request
Qualification requirements:
- Education: Degree in Medicine or Public Health (Master’s degree is a preference)
- At least 5 years of work experience in providing clinical and/or programmatic management of HIV within prevention and care & treatment programs in Vietnam
- Understand the health system and ability to work well with implementing partners and government counterparts
- Preferably direct knowledge and prior experience from working with PEPAR-funded programs, or at least with US government-funded programs
- Good written and oral communication skills in both Vietnamese and English;
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Capable to work independently and travel as required
Duration: Initial duration of approx.4 months with expected starting time from June 2020.
Working location: The consultant will be placed at VAAC office
Reporting: Consultant will submit the written report to the assigned co-monitors from VAAC and FHI 360 on monthly basis
