Mr. Toonen is senior trainer of MDF Vietnam office. Koen also has over 20 years of development experience at the UN. He was involved in managing the UNDP-UNEP Poverty Environment Partnership. He is an all-round development expert and trainer in Results-Based Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, Advocacy and Policy Influencing, Network Management, Multi-stakeholder Partnerships, Sustainability Planning, Institutional Development and Organizational Strengthening, notably for poverty alleviation and environmental management.

Ms. Ger Roebeling has a longstanding career in International Cooperation with experience in the field, and 20 years in different management positions (programme management, programme and general director) in International organisations, ranging from the Netherlands to Africa, Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europa & Caucasus, and MENA region. She is the founder of several policy networks based on Trade, Food Security, WASH up to EU, UN and World Trade Organisation levels and she managed worldwide multi stakeholder partnerships and development programmes. Her policy interventions have led to the elimination of agricultural subsidies stopping the dumping of Food Aid. She joined MDF in 2008 and became one of the first interim and change managers, developed training courses on Advocacy and Policy Influencing, Partnership & Network management, Security and Gender, and Leadership & Coaching.

Ms. Roebeling is an experienced and inspiring advisor, facilitator, coach and trainer. Her creative methods are of a visionary and interactive nature, using mutual exchange of experiences as an important vehicle for co-creation. She applies theoretical concepts and tools in a practical way in workshops and learning events by using a range of different interactive learning methods, such as case studies, focused conversation, individual reflection, group work, feedback, role plays, debates, and simulations. Ms. Roebeling is a certified systemic coach for organisations and networks, for which she horses are playing a role regularly.
