The Digital Transformation Center Vietnam focuses on Green Tech, Industry 4.0 (digitalization of SMEs) and the data economy. It improves conditions for the creation and growth of green tech start-ups in selected regions in Vietnam, supports existing business in their digital transformation and strengthens data literacy, enabling data-based business models. Digital and digitally enabled start-ups and SMEs have the potential to tackle climate change, protect environmental resources and can have fundamental impact on overall economic productivity. Digitalization can also contribute to economic growth by spurring innovation.
The project is looking for a local qualified candidate to fill the following position to join our young and vibrant team working on the implementation of the Digital Transformation Center:
Officer in Digital Innovation
Duty station: Hanoi
Duration: 01. October 2021 - 30. November 2023
Main tasks:
- Implementing daily operational aspects of all issues related to the Digital Transformation Center
- Policy advice and organizational development for the primary partners of the project in the field of digitalization
- Setting up and managing start-up support programs (incubators, accelerators, entrepreneur-in-residence programs)
- Developing and implementing digital/data skills programmes
- Establishing and promoting regional and German-Vietnamese tech entrepreneurship networks and exchanges
- Curating and managing (impact) investor networks
- Supporting the Digital Transformation Center with strategy development
- processing technical aspects and further developing the area of responsibility in accordance with the specified quality standards
- Maintaining of a good flow of communication and information between all involved institutions and counterparts and GIZ
- Ensuring that the project office runs smoothly
Minimum requirements:
- Experience in ICT fields (or related field) with a focus on digitalization and innovation
- Specialization in ICT and a minimum of 5 years work experience in the start-up worlds, digital economy, data protection, data markets
- Knowledge on current local and regional developments in the fields of innovation, tech and digitalization
- Proven experience with start-up incubation and innovation management a must
- Experience in project management
- Good knowledge of the Vietnamese and regional Start-up ecosystem
- managerial and organisational competence
- willingness to travel (abroad and domestically) regularly
- knowledge of Vietnamese and English, German is a plus
- willingness to upskill as required by the tasks to be performed – corresponding measures are agreed with management
