JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: International Communication and Marketing Specialist

REACH Vietnam is a local Vietnamese non-government organization specializing in vocational training and employment for Vietnam’s most disadvantaged youth, including those with disabilities. It was established in 2008, and currently runs vocational training courses at 05 centers across Vietnam supporting up to 1,100 disadvantaged Vietnamese annually coming from all over the country.

REACH is searching for an International Communication and Marketing Specialist to increase the reach and impact of REACH’s profile and visibility through delivery of high value, creative and influential marketing and communications to support the development of partnerships and funding opportunities.

Work place: Based in the REACH Hanoi office

Duration: Jan 2022-Dec 2024

Position goals:

  • To develop a communication and marketing strategy to communicate the success of REACH work to donors and stakeholders in an effective way
  • To train and build capacity of the local team for the improvement of the whole communication and marketing tools, approaches and practice
  • To support fund raising and the development of the organization

Report to: REACH Chief Operating Officer and Chief Finance Officer

I. Tasks

  • Develop an effective communication and marketing strategy to communicate the success of REACH work to donors and stakeholders
  • Support the development and implementation of communications and marketing products (Annual report, newsletters, content in website and social media, press release...)
  • Plan and implement direct marketing approaches including targeting, personalization of messages, data analysis, donor profiling and segmentation
  • Using technological marketing tools/platform to reach more potential partners/donors online (linkedIn, google ads,...)
  • Build capacity for the local team (fundraising, communication staff and/or related staff) in line with communication and marketing strategy
  • Support to the development of fundraising proposals and communication process with donors
  • Organize initiatives and plan events or press conferences
  • Other support to fundraising activities

II. Expected outcomes:

  • A communication and marketing strategy towards donors and key stakeholders is developed
  • Communications products (Annual report, newsletters, content in website and social media, press release, reports to donors in various forms...) are well developed
  • The local team capacities in developing communication pieces (content, photo, clip, case stories, report to donors) are improved
  • Fundraising activities get effective support such as proposal development, fund source search...
  • Data of fund sources and donors developed, segmented and targetted, messages and/or reporting personalized for current and potential donors built

III. Position requirements:

  • BSc/BA in public relations, communications, marketing, international relations or relevant field
  • Proven experience as communications and marketing specialist
  • Experience in content production and editing, publications
  • Experience in website, images, video development is a plus
  • Experience in report and proposal making to fundraise is an advantage
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills in English
  • Capable to conduct capacity building for a group
  • Outstanding organizational and planning abilities.
