We are looking for 01 VfD Senior Project Officer, Illegal Wildlife Trade, WWF-Viet Nam, based in Ha Noi.

Major Functions

Reporting to the Project Manager, Stop IWT, the Senior Project Officer will broadly engage with WWF’s dynamic teams and strategic partners and stakeholders e.g. national assembly, government agencies, local CSOs, CBOs and local communities to drive the Project forward. The position will work under direction and supervision of the Project Manager, Stop IWT to deliver the VfD’s key policy and advocacy objectives to address IWT in Viet Nam. The selected candidate will provide support to related project planning and implementation, budgeting, partners grant management, M&E and reporting tasks of the project activities to ensure compliance with WWF’s contractual obligations and effective collaboration between WWF and key partners and stakeholders in the project sites. Specifically, he/she is responsible for daily operation and implementation of the VfD with key focus on the delivery of WWF and partners’ planned activities, communication initiatives and effective coordination with government partners and donors.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager and project team in design, work-planning, delivery and management of IWT-focused activities against approved annual work plans. Main activities include both WWF-led and partners-ed activities to address IWT with key focus on policy, advocacy and communications; 
• Liaise with government partners at national, provincial and local levels, civil social organizations, local communities and other stakeholders to support delivery of project objectives;
• Manage and support activities through small grant agreements for CSO partners to support awareness raising and improved capacity, participation of local communities in Thua Thien Hue and Quang Nam provinces in policy advocacy work on IWT;
• Oversee development of TOR and manage short-term consultants to ensure monitoring and qualities of deliverables; 
• Perform other duties as requested by the Project Manager. 

Required Qualifications       

• University degree in Public Policy, Public Relations, Corporate Communications, Natural Resources Management, Media Coordination, Environmental or Conservation Management or relevant fields. 
• At least 5+ years of full-time applied working experience in natural resource management, wildlife project for international development/ environmental organizations, preferably in relation to illegal wildlife trade;
