They will provide support to technical staff working on the TB project and the regional Environment and Climate Change (ECC) Initiative in the statistical analysis of project/secondary data, the interpretation of these analyses to inform national policy, and the application of related research questions as appropriate.

The Senior Data Scientist will also support the design, analysis, interpretation and documentation of statistical results for project/program/strategy implementation, including analyses using AI (ML or DL).

Key Responsibilities:

Additional responsibilities including, but not limited to:

  • Develop statistical standard operating procedures and provide training to statisticians and non-statisticians on data analysis plans, with a specific emphasis on AI (ML or DL) data.
  • Develop statistical procedures to ensure consistency and use of the most appropriate statistical techniques;
  • Lead and ensure the quality of design, analysis, interpretation, and documentation of statistical analyses for project(s) data, with a special focus on AI (ML or DL) analyses.
  • Provide technical expertise to use AI deep learning networks for chest X-ray interpretation with the goal to improve TB detection and for AI applications to climate science.
