Public Health Specialist (Treatment)

The U.S. Embassy in Vietnam is seeking to recruit the following position:

HANOI-2021-65 (RA2)  Public Health Specialist (Treatment) Position

Requirement:

Experience:  At least five years of working experiences on health related areas which includes minimum 2 years of public health experience in developing,implementing, or evaluating HIV/AIDS programs or other relevant public health programs is required. 

Education:  A Medical doctor degree is required

JOB KNOWLEDGE:  Must have:

Comprehensive knowledge of current HIV issues, care and treatment, counseling and interventions, behavior change, testing, andtreatment.

An in-depth knowledge of the range of treatment programs, policies, regulations and precedents applicable to development andadministration of national/international public health programs.

Detailed knowledge of the host government health care system and structures including familiarity with MOH policies, program prioritiesand regulations.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  Must have:

• Strong oral and written communications skills.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Ability to analyze, understand and discuss new program design, management and implementation approaches.
• Intermediate user level of word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
• Strong skills in interpretation of program monitoring and evaluation data.
