Aus4Skills
The goal of Aus4Skills is to support Vietnam to access and use high level professional and technical knowledge, skills and competencies, to contribute to the country’s sustainable economic and inclusive development. The program also aims to deepen Vietnamese and Australian people- to-people and institutional links and therefore strengthen the partnership between the two countries.
Aus4Skills is managed by Tetra Tech International Development on behalf of Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).
Key responsibilities
- Provide logistics and promotional support for the delivery of a range of high-quality alumni and public diplomacy events, including but not limited to venue and travel arrangements, invitations, reception and closing requirements
- Provide support for the delivery of the AAGF covering promotions, grant preparation and grant administration
- Contribute to monitoring, evaluation and learning activities for alumni activities including data collection and maintenance, and reporting on alumni activities
- Handle alumni enquiries via email and phone and maintain an up-to-date and effective alumni database system
- Respond to ad hoc requests for information or support from the Australian Embassy or Consulate relating to alumni activities
Selection criteria
- Relevant undergraduate tertiary qualifications in public relations, human resources, business or equivalent professional experience
- At least two years of professional experience in an international project or development context
- Experience with supporting the planning and delivery of a variety of events, such as short courses, workshops, conferences and seminars
- Strong computer skills, including the ability to use databases and customised programs designed for supporting networks of people
- Knowledge of Vietnam’s education and/or development and international engagement priorities, an advantage
- Good inter-personal and oral and written communication skills in Vietnamese and English language
- Excellent design skills desired
