Description of the project the Intern will complete:
Under the project “One Health Data Collaboration” funded by GIZ, PATH has been working with General Department of Preventive Medicine (GDPM) in the Ministry of Health (MoH) and Department of Animal Health (DAH) under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) to strengthen technical, human, and institutional capacity building to monitor and analyze disease data and forecast disease events are further improved by using a One Health approach.
PATH is currently seeking a qualified Program Associate Intern for the project. The Program Associate Intern will report to the M&E and Surveillance Team Lead and work closely with PATH Vietnam program team.

Brief description of required skills/experience the intern should possess:
- Vietnamese national.
- Recently graduated from a university or senior students. Students with majors on statistics, demographics, public policy, public health, or any related fields is preferred.
- Have good analytical skills
- Keen interest in data management, data analysis, conducting research
- Keen interest in contributing to sustainable development goals
- Strong verbal and written English
- Able to pay close attention to details
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure situations.
Skills to be developed and/or expanded during internship:
- The ability to communicate technical information to audiences
- Skills to conduct research and training activities
- Analytical skills
- Project implementation and management
- Skills of communication and coordination

- Other related skills of logistics arrangement, financial process, event organization and administration
Proposed activities:
- Support to conduct the assessment on training need assessment and electronic reporting systems
- Assist in data analysis of the field trip as instructed by the senior program officers (e.g. quantitative data analysis - descriptive statistics)
- Assist in writing assessment reports (e.g. develop tables and graphs, format the report)
- Assist in creating electronic surveys
- Support preparation materials for meetings, workshops, trainings such as agenda, presentations
- As requested, actively contribute to the team’s day-to-day activities, including in some cases logistical support to trainings & events
- Other tasks as required by the supervisor.
- Coordinate with project team to provide support in the implementation and monitoring of project activities
