Travel requirements:     Frequent travel throughout cities; infrequent travel for knowledge sharing in Viet Nam

BACKGROUND :

IRD VN is a locally registered social enterprise in Viet Nam. IRD VN is a young, dynamic and growing organization. Though we started in 2016, we now have over 30 office-based staff working across five cities in Viet Nam. IRD VN works in close collaboration with the Vietnam Administration for HIV/AIDS Control, the National TB Control Program, Provincial CDCs and TB Programs, and other in-country partners to implement projects funded by USAID, the Stop TB Partnership’s TB REACH initiative, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (US CDC), UNITAID and Otsuka.

In collaboration with US CDC, IRD VN is helping promote progress towards sustained HIV epidemic control by bridging current gaps in private sector engagement, linking Viet Nam’s HIV and public health system, and infusing a Clinical Business Intelligence (CBI) approach with HIV program stakeholders. The project objectives have been designed in alignment with key requirements for HIV program services as well as cross-program areas (CPA) including Strategic Information (SI) and TB/HIV in seven focus provinces (Ha Noi, Hai Phong, Thai Nguyen, Ho Chi Minh, Binh Duong, Long An) of Viet Nam. We will catalyze the expansion of client access and uptake to high-quality HIV services in private and community care settings through a Private Provider & Community Support Agency model.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Assist in the coordination and implementation of project activities, including HSS workshops and events.
2. Provide logistical support for meetings, trainings, and other project-related events.

• Data Collection and Analysis

1. Help collect and analyze data related to project activities and outcomes.
2. Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

• Communication and Outreach

1. Help maintain effective communication with project partners, peer advisory groups, and other stakeholders.
2. Assist in the development and dissemination of communication materials related to the HSS.

1. Provide administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of project activities.
2. Support the Project Officer and other team members with day-to-day tasks as needed.

1. Participate in capacity-building activities and training sessions organized for community partners.
2. Support mentorship activities under the guidance of the Project Officer.

1. Other activities requested by IRD VN management.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS :

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• Demonstrated interest or experience in working with LGBT organizations and communities.
• Previous experience in public health, community engagement, or project coordination is an advantage.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Fluency in Vietnamese and English (both written and spoken).
• Candidates with a passion for improving the health and well-being of marginalized populations.
