The Centre for Sustainable Development Policy Studies (CSDP) was established on 11th April, 2007 under the Decision No.431/Q?-KHXH of the VASS President. CSDP operates as an autonomous and self-financing scientific organization under the Law on Science and Technology, and the Decree No. 115/N?-CP. Our mission is to collaborate with domestic and international scientists and practitioners in conducting research, exchange and consultancy on economic, social and environmental issues, and using them to provide policy advice on sustainable development in the context of Viet Nam joining WTO and intensifying globalization processes.
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA) is assigned by the Government of Vietnam to implement a project for “Strengthening the capacity of Vietnamese Government’s agencies in accelerating and improving PAR efficiency and effectiveness”. The project is funded by UNDP and other donors through One UN Fund. The main objective of the project is to support the implementation of the PAR Master Program and the Action Plan of the Government to carry out the 5th Resolution of the Party Central Committee (the Xth term) on “Accelerating PAR, improving public effectiveness and efficiency”.
The Health Care Support to the Poor of The Northern Uplands and Central Highlands (HEMA) is a European Commission project funded implemented by the Ministry of Health (2006 – 2012). From the total budget, an amount of €11.45 million is managed by the World Bank through a Trust Fund. The project aims to improve the health status of the poor and ethnic minorities in the Northern Uplands and Central Highlands regions. The specific objectives of the project are to increase coverage of essential health interventions especially at the commune level and to improve health service planning at the district level. The project will be implemented in the provinces of Lai Chau, Dien Bien, Son La, Kon Tum, and Gia Lai.
