UNDP Vietnam seeks 01 qualified International Consultant to assist with mainstreaming biodiversity conservation priorities into land use planning.
The objective of the assignment is to provide international expertise to Biodiversity Conservation Agency (BCA), which is the implementing agency under Vietnam Environment Administration, on mainstreaming biodiversity into land use planning at provincial level.
The selection will be based on a competitive basis and will comply with UNDP procurement regulations.
Peace House Shelter Project, PHSP, run by Center for Women and Development – a subordinate unit of Vietnam Women’s Union, was established as a joint effort by Vietnam Women’s Union and Spanish Agency for International Development Co-operation (AECID) to strengthen Vietnam’s effort to end trafficking in persons. PHSP aims to empowering and helping to reintegrate survivors; supporting to policy making and implementation and playing an active role to raise awareness of the societal impact of gender-based violence as manifested in human trafficking.
UN Women Viet Nam Country Office (VCO) intends to conduct a mapping exercise to map existing and active CSOs in Viet Nam, focusing on those working on gender issues and women’s rights, with a view to identify the expertise of CSOs as well as to identify possible partners for UN Women Programme and Policy Advocacy. Ultimately, the research aims at clarifying the context in which Vietnamese CSOs operate and the challenges they face, as well as the actual space for CSOs advocacy and action and to what extent they can support National Government in developing policies at all levels.

Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations is one of the sub-recipients of “The Global Fund supported project on HIV/AIDS”, funded by The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. The target of the VUSTA’s project is to reduce the HIV/AIDS related mortality and improve the quality of life of people living with and vulnerable to HIV/AIDS in 10 provinces covered by the project via strengthening capacity and promoting the participation of civil society organizations and community in the national response to HIV/AIDS in Vietnam. The 2nd phase of the project is expected to run for three years, from 2013 to 2015.
