We are currently seeking for a qualified professional for the position of PROGRAM OFFICER, Sub-sector Development (SSD) Program for Rice. This hiring is for an anticipated project “Towards an ASEAN Common Quality Standard for Rice in Vietnam and Cambodia.” The PO will be based in South Vietnam or South Cambodia and working full-time.
The “From university to community: preparing a generation of professionals in sustainable development” project is implemented in Hoi An from 2014. This project seeks to build capacity of university students in central Vietnam to work in grassroots development projects in four selected areas: public space, sustainable tourism, environmental education and organic agriculture. Through a Sustainability Field School, the project offers students practical experience in the field as well as opportunities to serve in their home communities through small grants.

Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations is one of the sub-recipients of “The Global Fund supported project on HIV/AIDS”, funded by The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. The target of the VUSTA’s project is to reduce the HIV/AIDS related mortality and improve the quality of life of people living with and vulnerable to HIV/AIDS in 10 provinces covered by the project via strengthening capacity and promoting the participation of civil society organizations and community in the national response to HIV/AIDS in Vietnam. The 2nd phase of the project is expected to run for three years, from 2013 to 2015.
