Water Supply and Sanitation Working Group Meeting

This is regular meeting of Water Supply and Sanitation Working Group. But it is also important/urgent meeting of the Group. As the National Target Program 3 is currently under preparation and requires the input of NGOs in the sector. On 13-14th May a workshop was held in Nha Trang; "NGO Approaches to RWSS: Moving towards a Programme Based Approach". One of the draft recommendations from that workshop asks NGOs to articulate to the NTP designers how they feel they can contribute to the next national target programme; what role should NGOs have? It is important that NGOs develop a strong, unified position for submission by June. This meeting will focus on the discussion the input of NGOs in the sector to the NTP III.

Water Supply and Sanitation Working Group Consultation Meeting

This is extraordinary/emergency Meeting of the Water Supply and Sanitation Working Group. The third phase of RWSS NTP is in the making and the first draft could be available by May.  The consultants have arrived on 28 of March in town for further undertakings and the group could take this opportunity to engage the consultant/s to discuss about the design and framework of the new programme.

ECO-Asia Grants for Urban Water and Sanitation

The ECO-Asia program, a regional environmental program funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development and based in Bangkok, has released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Grants for Promoting Access to Urban Water and Sanitation Services. The grants program will support the use of ECO-Asia's newly developed 10-Step Promotion Program Toolkit, to increase or improve water and sanitation services in Asian cities.

All private organizations, NGOs and academic institutions working in countries eligible for USAID assistance may apply. The maximum amount for an individual grant is US$10,000.
