INGO Scaling Up Nutrition Working Group

The Scaling Up Nutrition Working Group (SUNWG) was established in mid-2019 under the VUFO-NGO Resource Centre. Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) is a unique movement founded on the principle that all people have a right to food and good nutrition. It unites people – from governments, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), the United Nations (UN), donors, businesses, and researchers – in a joint effort. The working group plays a key role in supporting the government to achieve its commitments made when joining the SUN Global Movement. It brings together NGOs that provide grass-roots support for scaling up nutrition in local communities. 

Goal

The Scaling Up Nutrition Working Group aims to be an independent and credible voice supporting activities towards improved nutrition in Vietnam. It will be a part of a larger SUN network in Vietnam and a catalyst for sustainable initiatives, which will include financial support to development of further implementation of the nutrition agenda.
