Job Title: FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING OFFICER

Project: Improved social protection and decent work for female farmers in the shrimp and rice value chains in Vietnam

Location: Hanoi and frequent travel to the Project provinces in Mekong Delta

Background

The External Affairs and International Cooperation Department of Vietnam Farmers' Union (VNFU), with the support of Oxfam in Vietnam is currently implementing the Project "Improved social protection and decent work for female farmers in the shrimp and rice value chains in Vietnam" in Mekong Delta with such provinces as An Giang, Bac Lieu, Soc Trang, Ca Mau. The project aims to support female farmers and seasonal agricultural workers in the shrimp and rice value chains in Mekong Delta region of Vietnam to have access to adequate labour and social protection, contributing to gender equality.

The Project Management Unit under the External Affairs and International Cooperation Department of Vietnam Farmers' Union is recruiting the Finance and Accounting Officer for the Project.

Core competencies:

• Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, audit or a related field;
• At least 1-3 years of experience working as general accountant;
• Experience in using the accounting software;
• Detail oriented with exacting standards to maintain accuracy and impartiality in all work products;
• Have experience in supporting organizations of training, workshop, communication events;
• Ability to balance numerous tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines;
• Keen attention to detail;
• Excellent command of MS-Office, especially MS Excel;
• Be able to work effectively in a team or in individually;
• Fluency in written and spoken English is an advantage;
• Willingness to travel frequently to project areas;
• Dynamic, reliable, self-motivated, service-oriented and able to work under pressure.
