The Australian Embassy is seeking applications from citizens of Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the US or UK to fill a part-time Locally Engaged Decision Maker (LED) position working within its Immigration and Citizenship Section in Hanoi. The position is for up to 3 days per week and involves processing of migration visa applications.

A contract will be offered for 12 months duration to the successful applicant, renewable by mutual consent and satisfactory performance review. The merit list drawn up from this recruitment exercise may be used for the purpose of offering part-time or full-time positions in the future should the need arise. 

Handicap International France (HI F) is a non-governmental organisation created in 1982. HI mission is to assist people in situations of disability or vulnerability, whatever may be the underlying cause and environment. This is done through the implementation of multidisciplinary programmes concerning prevention, treatment, empowerment, integration and emergency intervention. HI has worked in Vietnam since 2001 and is developing projects targeting people living with disabilities, extremely vulnerable persons and persons living with HIV or AIDS.

Responsibilities:

Quang Binh Decentralised Programme for Rural Poverty Reduction (DPPR) is implemented by preferential loan from International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). Objectives of the Project are: (i) To improve the livelihood and socio-economic status of poorest households in the poor communes in Quang Binh province, gradually upgrading their living standard in a sustainable way; (ii) To improve the capacity, role and responsibility of the locality with particular emphasis on the use of highly decentralised, community – driven development approaches down to commune and village levels. The Project has started from April, 2005 and will close loan in March, 2012. At present, DPPR needs to recruit consultant team for project completion evaluation activity.
