Project Background After a Multi-Sector Rural Development Project (2002-2007) in Quy Chau district, Government of Vietnam, Nghe An Province and Kingdom of Belgium have agreed to implement a second project in the same district. This project would however have a different focus and implementation modality. The project will be implemented through national execution modality and will primarily focus on assisting the provincial government in translating Public Administration Reform (PAR) policy related to decentralized planning, budgeting, implementation and monitoring and evaluation in to concrete actions. It will also provide resources, guidance and capacity development to the district and communes to practice the decentralized approaches.

The Vietnamese-German “Project for Preservation of Biodiversity in the Forest Eco-systems in Vietnam” is a project of German Technical Assistance to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural development.
The Food and Agricultural Products Quality Development and Control Project (FAPQDC) funded by Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) during 2008-2013 has been implemented by Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Science and Technology in collaboration with University of Montreal, Canada. The general objective of the FAPQDC project is to improve the quality, safety and marketability of agricultural food products through strengthened application of good production practices (GPP) and quality control systems. The FAPQDC project is looking for a Vietnamese Laboratory Specialist. The selected candidate will work full-time at the Project Management Unit (PMU) starting September 2010 for a one-year contract with extension possibility.
The project Poverty Reduction in Rural Areas (PARA) is implemented in Tra Vinh and Ha Tinh Provinces, under the overall guidance of the Provincial People’s Committees. It receives support from the German Government through GTZ. It is implemented in cooperation with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), providing advisory and capacity building services to the IFAD funded programme Improving Market Participation of the Poor (IMPP).
The project objective is to improve the participation of poor rural people in a range of markets. The first phase is from 2007 to 2010. The second programme phase is from 2011 – 2012. The Project is seeking for 01 Private Sector Development Specialist, full time position, for 27 months contract.
