Dear Disaster Response Colleagues,

On behalf of the Disaster Response Management Team, UNDP and the UN Resident Coordinator’s Office, I would like to invite you to attend the launch workshop for the project, Data Layering for Disaster Response, taking place 13.30-17.00 Tuesday, 25 June 2019, at the UN Green One Us House, Conference Room C1, 304 Kim Ma Street, Hanoi.

This workshop will share the outputs of the Data Layering for Disaster Preparedness which aims to reduce the time needed to generate an assessment reports following a natural disaster from the current 3 weeks to within 36 hours of a disaster by pre-positioning the baseline data for all 63 provinces (collected under this project) to automatically generate an estimated calculation for impacts and recovery needs for specific areas affected by a disaster. The resulting tools will assist users to visualize disaster effects in a web-based application, which will be accompanied by a mobile phone relief and recovery tracking tool, tracking real time relief efforts of various partners.
