[Ngo-lwg] Government Decision on Establishment of National Steering Committee on Mine Action and Post-war Toxic Chemicals

Dear LWG members and colleagues,

The Prime Minister recently signed and promulgated Decision no. 701 on
establishment of the National Steering Committee (NSC) on Mine action and
Post-war toxic chemicals in Vietnam. This new NSC is established based on
the combination of the NSC on mine action (504 Steering committee) and the
NSC on addressing consequences of toxic chemicals used by the U.S during
wartime in Vietnam. Its members consist of representatives from various
concerning ministries and governmental agencies (namely MOD, MOLISA, MPI,.)
in which the MOD would be the standing/executive board of the new NSC.

Please find Decision 701 (both in Vietnamese and its English translation by
IC) as attached for your information.
