[Ngo Climate Change] Minutes from Mekong Delta CC Networking meeting 27Sept2013

Dear all,

 

Please find attached the minutes of the Mekong Delta CC Networking meeting
that took place in HCMC on the 27th September 2013. 

 

As a reminder, the agreed action points:

§  Minutes and mailing list to be shared by CARE

§  CARE will start with developing a very first draft Terms of Reference for
a potential working group. However, volunteers are requested from other
organizations to form a sort of sub-working group that will finalize a first
draft. The first draft of the ToR developed by this group will be shared
through the INGO HCMC mailing list, the CCWG mailing list and other channels
for further input. The ToR will then be further revised and accepted in the
next meeting (tentatively planned for November)

§  In terms of further sharing on projects, any organization that wants to
share information, reports or briefs can do so via the mailing list 

§  CARE will also share a very relevant research on CSO networking on CC in
Vietnam carried out by PACT

 

AITCV, Oxfam and AmCross have already volunteered to contribute to the
drafting of the ToR. Hope others will sign up too!

 

A lot of ideas were generated which can feed into the further development of
a collaboration mechanism for CC stakeholders working in the South. Let’s
continue on this momentum and work collectively to improve information
sharing, coordination and networking on climate change in the South of
Vietnam.
