Subject: FW: Call for proposals “Women & Sustainable Energy”

Dear VSEA members,

I have the pleasure to inform you that a new Call for proposals “Women & Sustainable Energy” was published today on the occasion of International Women's Day (IP available at https://ec.europa.eu/europeaid/news-and-events/promoting-women-working-sustainable-energy_en).

This gender initiative was set in the 2016 Annual Action Programme of the Global Public Good and Challenges (GPGC) adopted last year (C(2016)8086), under its component "Delivering access to affordable, sustainable, reliable and modern energy".

This call is meant to promote the role of women both within the energy value chain and as an end user of energy services for productive activities. Expected results will comprise increased access to affordable finance and to sustainable energy services; improved women's entrepreneurship; increased women's technical and business skills; improved general environment for women's entrepreneurship through political advocacy and awareness campaigns.

The guidelines for applicants are available at https://webgate.ec.europa.eu/europeaid/online-services/index.cfm? do=publi.welcome&nbPubliList=25&orderby=upd&orderbyad=Desc&searchtype=RS&aofr=155118<https://webgate.ec.europa.eu/europeaid/online-services/index.cfm?%20do=publi.welcome&nbPubliList=25&orderby=upd&orderbyad=Desc&searchtype=RS&aofr=155118>

Best regards,
