Dear all friends and colleagues of CCWG,

Wish you are doing well!

I received an email from Nithi, Regional Coordinator, Climate Action Network South East Asia (CANSEA) regarding to explore the engagement of CCWG members to CANSEA. Kindly refer this email below for your reference. If you need more information, please do not hesitate to contact with Nithi and I for more clarification.

CCWG will organize a monthly meeting on 27 Apr 2017 in Ha Noi so that all CCWG members can discuss directly with CANSEA coordinator. If you are working in other provinces and cannot attend this meeting in Ha Noi, secretariat team can arrange another meeting in your province. In this case, please inform us for arrangement by 7 Apr (Friday).

The detailed agenda of CCWG monthly meeting including CANSEA’s sharing session will be sent to you later.

Thank you so much and have a productive working day,

Quoc Anh

Subject: Request from CANSEA to meet with CCWG members in Hanoi on 27 April

Dear CCWG members,

Greetings from Malaysia. I trust you are keeping well.

I am the Regional Coordinator for Climate Action Network South East Asia (CANSEA).

Established in 1992, CANSEA (cansea.net<http://www.cansea.net>) is part of CAN and has about 15 member organisations in Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.

Coordination of CANSEA is rotated among country nodes every two years. I was elected to this role in October 2016.

When I was at COP22 in Marrakech in November last year, I was introduced by FES Deputy Resident Director, Dr Sonja Schirmbeck, to the Chair of NGO's CCWG, Ms Vu Minh Hai.

Subsequently, Ms Vu and I had a meeting.

I was pleased to learn about the CCWG's structure and activities and was impressed by your publications.

As my role covers South East Asia, I would like to request for an appointment to meet with you in Hanoi on Thursday, 27 April 2017 at a venue of your choice.

My reasons for meeting with you are as follows:

1. Make a presentation on the role and objectives of CANSEA

2. Discuss the opportunities for engagement and collaboration between CCWG and CANSEA

3. Highlight CANSEA’s aim to widen our representation across the region

4. Invite CCWG members to consider applying for membership to CANSEA

Feel free to contact me if you wish to seek any clarification.
I hope to hear from you.

Best regards.
Nithi
