Subject: Call for concept notes on Regional Environmental Event Support is now open!

Dear colleagues,

Greetings from Stockholm Environment Institute, SEI Asia!

SEI has launched a call for concept notes for regional events in Asia that focus on advancing environmentally sustainable development with integration of gender and social equality as well as rights-based approaches. This event support aims to promote informed policy dialogue on environmentally sustainable development and poverty alleviation in Asia towards the achievement of SDGs by allowing diverse stakeholders to share experience and knowledge at regional forums and strategic events.

In 2019, the programme will focus on 6 main themes as following:

Water
Water, landscapes and ecosystems: Contributing to human development for Asia
Climate Change Adaptation
Actionable knowledge for sustainable development, climate change adaptation and disaster resilience
Disaster risk reduction
Local level action for transforming communities at risk in Asian cities
Gender
Greening growth: Transformative practices and reflections on gender and environmental justice
Energy
Energy investments in contested landscapes in Asia
Agriculture
Smallholders of the 21st century as the primary drivers of sustainable agriculture

A total of SEK 500,000 (approx. USD 50,000) will be available per grant over one year. SEI aims to cover one grant per theme. Applicants must submit their concept note at the latest by 28 February 2019.

Visit the funding page for more detailed information and to access the full call for concept notes. For the concept note template, you may download at this link.

If you have further questions or need for clarification, please feel free to contact me at this email.

Looking forward to further collaboration on the 2019 Regional Environmental Event Support.

Kind regards,

Wanaporn
