In order to undertake the ten-year review and appraisal of the implementation of the Law on Gender Equality, the Resolution No. 11 -  NQ/TW of the Political Bureau on the work relating to women’s affairs in the period of promoting industrialization and modernization of the country and to improve the legal provisions related to gender equality, Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs is organizing the National Forum on “Promoting Gender Equality in the Digital Age and Integration”.

    Accelerating the implementation the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) will require strengthened accountability mechanisms for gender equality. One of the effective methods that is capable of meeting and overcoming challenges to promote gender equality is gender responsive budgeting (GRB). In some countries in the Asia Pacific region, GRB has been used effectively by civil society organizations to strengthen State accountability towards gender equality and the empowerment of women.

    International conference about National Adaptation Plan!

    According to the Plan for Implementation of the Paris Agreement of Vietnam, the National Adaptation Plan (NAP) needs to be completed by 2019. Therefore, on 25th Jul 2017, CCWG organized the International Conference "Formulate and Implement National Adaptation Plan for Vietnam based on Local Adaptation Practices and International Experiences". This event is funded by Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung as a key donor, Southern Voice project and USAID via Forest and Delta project.

    Three specific objectives are:

    - Share information from government's side about current NAP process,

    - Present how the NAP at regional and international level can be developed and implemented from international speakers,

    According to the Plan for Implementation of the Paris Agreement, established in 2016 by Vietnam Government, the National Adaptation Plan (NAP) needs to be completed in 2019, Ministry of Natural Resource and Environment (MONRE) as the coordinating agency of Government and National Committee for Climate Change (CC) to formulate and implement the plan. On 25th Jul 2017, CCWG organized the international conference about ““Formulate and Develop the National Adaptation Plan for Vietnam based on local adaptation practices and international experiences”.
