“Leadership in Strategic Health Communication” Workshop

The Center for Community Health Research and Development (CCRD) in collaboration with the Center for Communication Programs at the Johns Hopkins University (JHU/CCP) is pleased to announce the fifth international workshop “Leadership in Strategic Health Communication” in Vietnam, to be conducted from September 16 - 27, 2013 in Ha Long Bay, Viet Nam. This is a specific in-country version of the same international workshop held annually at the Johns Hopkins University, Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore, USA for more than 20 years.

The workshop is open to all nationalities and countries and anyone working in the field of development, communication and media with an interest in behavior change communication.

The Ethnic Minorities Working Group (EMWG) is a forum for NGOs and other development agencies and professionals to exchange ideas and lessons learned about how to improve development policies and practices for the benefit of ethnic minority peoples.

This year of 2013, the EMWG continues realizing its mission to facilitate the voice of ethnic minority people and empower them for their greater involvement in development programs in their communities.

Invitation to Workshop Series in Research Methodology in Social Sciences and Educational Science

The Institute for Research on Educational Development (IRED) and the Asia Pacific Centre for Leadership and Change (APCLC) of the Hong Kong Institute of Education in collaboration with the World Bank Vietnam's Development Information Center (VDIC) are pleased to present a series of workshops to build the research capacity of Vietnamese university faculty members, researchers and graduate students. The first three workshops in this series are delivered by Professor Philip Hallinger, a world-renowned scholar specializing in education, leadership, and organizational change. With the funding support from sponsors, 100% scholarships are offered to selected participants and the workshops series is free of charge to participants.

Investigation into Complaints Workshop

Purpose

The aim of the Investigations workshop is to demonstrate how to conduct investigations into allegations of Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (SEA) of people of concern by NGO staff and to promote best practice within organisations. This five-day workshop will explore basic investigation techniques and practical applications of these concepts.

The workshop begins at 8.30 and ends around 17.00 each day.  It will be held at:
Windsor Suites Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand, 15-19 October 2012
Please note that if you do not stay at the Hotel, you will need to arrange your own transport to and from the workshop venue.
