Consultant to develop career orientation guidance material for secondary school’s teachers in Lao Cai province

Save the Children is seeking for an individual to develop career orientation guidance material for secondary school’s teachers in Lao Cai. Details as below:

1. Objectives

The consultant will be responsible for:

• Finalizing outline of career orientation guidance material for secondary school’s teachers base on outline SC suggets and current career orientation document of LC province
• Developing career orientation guidance material for secondary school’s teachers base on finalize outline
• Developing training schedule and facilitating 01 TOT training about career orientaion guidance material

2. Scope of work

The consultant is responsible for below tasks:

• Reading outline of career orientation guidance for secondary school’s teachers (in annex) and all current career orientation document of LC province: career orientation guidance document for student in secondary and high school in Lao Cai province; report result of research in province level: “Developing career orientation guidance document for student in secondary school and high school in Lao Cai province”
• Work closely with SC’s Technical Advicor, Sponsorship Program and Lao Cai DOET to finalize outline of career orientation guidance material
• Develop career orientation guidance material for secondary school’s teachers base on finalize outline. Material need ensure that: support for career orientation program in National Education Program 2018, frendly with youth age and follow principle: support ignite passion, choose job base on strong point and weakness in person and labor market; don’t have information relate to gender/ethnic/area discrimination…
• Incase consultant want to know more context and back ground conduct career orientation activities in Lao Cai province, all stakeholder will discuss and collect data by online form
• Facilitate a training courses of career orientation for 35 core teachers in Lao Cai province
• Write Training activity report

3. Experiences and skill set required

Required:

• At least Master degree of social sciences: Education , Social Work, Law or equivalent.
• Having 3 years experience implement projects related to career orientation, having experience in training courses, develop career orientation material
• Having experience in writing guidance material for training imporve knowledge, skill about career orientation for teachers (at leat have experience develop 01 material- attach in CV)

Priority:

• Having experienced in working with local partners, especially partners in the education sector at district and provincial levels in Mount North area
• Having experience in working with youth in secondary school and hight school’s age
• Having experience and skill facilitate, engage participation and promoting teamwork, positive feedback
• Having good report writing and information analysis skills.
• Having experience in working with international NGO, especially in education projects
• Eghlish is a priority but it’s not required
