PFG Vietnam – Invitation to Tender Research on Community-based Forest Management
ActionAid is an international development agency whose aim is to fight poverty worldwide, supporting 25 million poor and most excluded people in 47 countries in Africa, Asia and the Americas in securing their rights and eradicating poverty.
Currently, ActionAid Vietnam is implementing a project of “People Participation in improvement of forest governance and poverty alleviation in Vietnam” (PFG - Vietnam) with funding from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Finland.
Within the Project for adaptation to climate change in the Mekong delta in Tra Vinh province (AMD Tra Vinh project), in 2016 the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD) of Tra Vinh province implemented 15 testing models (6 farming models and 9 aquaculture models) with the participation of 113 households on the area 39.7 ha. Total cost for the implementation is 6.476 billion dong. In which, AMD project financed 2.742 billion dong (accounting for 42%), the contribution of participating households is 3.734 billion dong (accounting for 58%). To date, the models are completed.
The Restructuring for a more Competitive Vietnam Project (RCV Project) is looking for a national consultant to review and assess the lessons learned from the implementation of the RCV Operational Manual (OM) during 2014-2017 and propose recommendations to prepare a new version of Operational Manual (OM).
