GFA CONSULTING GROUP (www.gfa-group.de) is recruiting one qualified national Technical Supervisor to be based in Hanoi with frequent travel to Lai Chau, Dien Bien, Son La, Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces for the EC funded project “Health Care Support to the Poor of Northern Uplands and Central Highlands” (HEMA). The assignment will be for a fixed period from May 2010 to December 2012.

Qualifications and skills
- University degree in medicine preferably with public health specialty.
- Good command of English (reading, writing and speaking), fluency in Vietnamese
- Willingness to accept a multi-year commitment.
- Willingness to spend time travelling among project provinces (up to 10 working days a month).

The World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) is one of a network of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR). As a global leader in agroforestry research and development, ICRAF’s ultimate purpose is to improve human welfare by reducing poverty, increasing cash income, improving food and nutritional security, and increasing environmental resilience through improved agroforestry systems. ICRAF has it’s headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya and works in 21 countries throughout Africa, Asia and Latin America.
In 1993, the World Agroforestry Centre opened a program for Southeast Asia with Bogor, in Indonesia, as its regional headquarters. We currently work in five Southeast Asian countries including Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and China.

The Swiss Red Cross (SRC) is working since the 1960th in Vietnam. In September and October 2009 the Typhoons Ketsana and Mirinae created extensive destruction. Following an appeal for support by the Vietnam National Red Cross (VNRC), the SRC engaged in relief operations. To support its work in more long term the SRC is opening a country office in Vietnam. In order to achieve their goals, the Swiss Red Cross will need with the upcoming construction of village houses an additional Junior Engineer for the Country Office in Tuy Hoa, Phu Yen Province.

The Thai Nguyen Women’s economic collaboration for development (ECCODE) project is funded by EU and CARE Denmark. The overall objective of project is “To contribute to poverty reduction for the rural population of Thai Nguyen province by ensuring access to economic resources and influence over decisions that affect their lives”.
