[Ngo-lwg] Reminder of Invitation to The 1st Meeting of Mine Action Partnership Group (MAPG) on 15 March, 2017

Dear LWG members,

The Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) and National Mine Action 
Standing Board (504 Standing Board) and would like to invite the members 
of the Landmine Working Group to the 1^st Meeting of Mine Action 
Partnership Group (MAPG), to be organized in the morning of March 15, 
2017 at Pullman Hotel, 40 Cat Linh, Hanoi.

As you may know, on June 3^rd , 2016, the Ministry of Planning issued 
Decision no. 767 establishing the MAPG and then, in compliance with the 
Decision of MPI, the MAPG was developed and successfully launched on 
October 20^th , 2016 at the new premises of Vietnam National Mine Action 
Center. The next steps now are to strengthen the organizational 
structure of the MAPG, introduce the Group to the international 
stakeholders working in Mine action in Vietnam and encourage their 
participation in the Group as well as prepare the work program for the 
MAPG in 2017.

For that reason, MPI and 504 Standing Board will organize the 1^st MAPG 
Meeting in order to advocate wider involvement of international 
development partners and INGOs in the development and activities of the 
Group in 2017. Tentative agenda of the Meeting and MAPG Establishment 
Decision are attached for your information.

IC, as a member of the Secretariat of the MAPG, and co-chair of LWG is 
asked by 504 Standing Board to send the invitation to the LWG members.
