The project Technical Assistance Support for Management of Program 135-II (SM-P135) is implemented by the State Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs (CEM) in collaboration with Niras Finland (consultant company), and under agreement between the Governments of Vietnam and Finland. The project works to improve management of the Program for Socio-economic Development of Extremely Difficult Communes in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas (P135) in order to alleviate ethnic minority poverty.
The project is now seeking applications from Vietnamese nationals for one of its Program Facilitator positions. The position is based in Hanoi with travel to the project’s 8 partner provinces. The likely duration of contract is 16 months with possible extension.

The Association of Cities (ACVN) and the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung are currently implementing a 30 months project (01.02.2009-31.07.2012) to promote people’s participation and governance in Vietnam. The project helps to strengthen ACVN capacity to become a training provider for training courses on urban governance related issues. The Vietnam Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) funded by Join United Nations Programme to Fight Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza is a training program. This is managed and implemented by General Department of Preventive Medicine and Environmental Health under the lead of Ministry of Health. FETP help to strengthen the epidemiologic capacity for physicians and comparable preventive medicine staff in Vietnam through the principle “learning by doing”. The Vietnam FETP includes field epidemiology short course (FESC) and classical 2-year FETP fellowship aiming to train staff at different levels of preventive medicine system with different program objectives.
