The "Vietnam Action Against Plastic Pollution" Project (hereby called “the USAID’s VnAAPP Project”) is an innovative and ambitious program designed to reduce ocean plastic pollution at its source in Vietnam through strategic approaches such as convening stakeholders' power, promoting the creation and implementation of data-driven policies, enhancing knowledge sharing, promoting appropriately scaled technology and solutions, and providing technical expertise and capacity building of local governments to manage waste at its source and prevent plastic waste pollution leakages into our oceans.
Hagar, established in 1994, is a specialist trauma-informed care agency that works primarily with women and children suffering from trauma as a result of human trafficking, slavery and abuse. Since 2009, Hagar Vietnam has responded to the needs of survivors of human trafficking, violence, and abuse nationally through community-based services and training programs. Today, Hagar implements programs in Afghanistan, Cambodia, Singapore, and Vietnam, and through partners in Myanmar and the Solomon Islands.
