Good Neighbors is an international, non-profit humanitarian organization that plans, implements and raises funds for the provision of services in child education, community development, health, sanitation, and disaster relief projects. Currently Good Neighbors has been operating in 30 countries, supporting approximately 16.8 million people, including 9.6 million children. Good Neighbors International in Vietnam (GNI) is implementing Community Development Projects (CDP) based on child sponsorship in 3 provinces; Tuyen Quang, Hoa Binh, and Thanh Hoa. GNI is working in main areas such as child sponsorship and education, water and sanitation, income generation, etc. in 9 CDPs and is managing 7,346 sponsored children.
Plan in Vietnam is implementing an ECHO funded Early Recovery Assistance to Typhoon and Flood Affected Children and their Families in Quang Binh province” with the aim of improving humanitarian situation of people affected by the typhoons in the Central Vietnam.
The project team is looking for a national consultant to conduct assessment of shelter practices and housing condition in Quang Binh province. Please see the attached TOR for more details.

The USAID Vietnam Forest and Deltas Program is embarking on a five-year effort that will support four provinces to accelerate their transition to climate resilient, low emissions development through investments in reducing net emissions from forests, and enhancing resiliency of people, places, and livelihoods in the delta regions to short and long-term climate impacts. In collaboration with MARD, the Program will support sustainable forest management and strategies to increase sustainability and climate change resilience, improve livelihoods, and reduce pressure on forest ecosystems, or to manage them in a more equitable and sustainable manner.
The Government of Vietnam has received assistance from the United States Agency for International Development for the Vietnam Forests and Deltas Project. The Project aims to help accelerate Vietnam’s transition to climate-resilient, low-emission sustainable development in selected provinces and urban areas.
