The “Support to hearing impaired children, especially of ethnic minorities” project was officially commenced in Ha Giang in 2003. However, it was not continuously implemented. During phase III from 2010 to 2012, with the close collaboration between Ha Giang Department of Education and Training; Ha Giang Centre for supporting children with disabilities and Caritas Switzerland Viet Nam, the project has achieved significant results in improving the educational service to children with disabilities and in developing the capabilities for teachers and caregivers that support the children.
The Department of Labour, Invalid and Social Affairs in Quang Binh province (DoLISA) in cooperation with the Association for Empowerment of Persons with disabilities (AEPD) is going to recruit a consultant to do a survey about the children with disabilities in Quang Binh within the framework of project "Early identification and intervention, and inclusive education to children with disabilities in Quang Binh".
