Program “Economic and Social Empowerment with gender perspective” Paz y Desarrollo (PyD) is a Spanish International NGO working in 14 countries around the word. PyD is supporting the implementation of a 4 -year Regional Programme on Economic and Social Empowerment with gender perspective in Vietnam, Cambodia and East Timor, hereinafter referred to as PyD Regional Programme. In Vietnam, the Programme will be implemented is Quang Nam province. The Programme aims to: - Encourage local initiatives which promote employment and entrepreneurship, while gender disparity is alleviated through improving skills of local authorities and civil society. - Promote rural development with local and gender approach, enabling fair distribution and control of resources.

The UNDP Viet Nam seeks 01 national consultant to work with an International Team Leader to conduct Midterm Evaluation for the Project: Project “Green Production and Trade to Increase Income and Employment Opportunities for the Rural Poor”. The multi-agency joint programme (JP) ‘Green Production and Trade to Increase Income and Employment Opportunities for the Rural Poor ’ aims to increase income and employment opportunities for crafts raw materials growers/collectors and grassroots handicrafts and furniture producers. The project targets about 4,800 poor farming and crafts producing households in four Northern provinces of Vietnam: Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Hoa Binh and Phu Tho, including 1,400 families from ethnic minorities such as the Thai, Muong and H’mong.
The WENARUDEP has a development objective which is: “Rural Poverty alleviation in three mountainous districts of Western Nghe An province” and follows one specific objective: “Improve sustainable rural livelihoods through appropriate and diversified agricultural production and related infrastructures”. The project, own by DARD is operating in a number of selected poor communes in the 3 districts of Tuong Duong, Con Cuong and Ky Son. It has a liaison office in Vinh. The project office is locate in Hoa Binh, Tuong Duong district in Nghe An.
